Role Intent:Â
• Candidate shall report to ROO Electrical Technical Authority and will be an integral member of a multi-discipline Operations Engineering Department.
• Day to day delivery of Electrical Engineering support for site operations • Deliver safe and effective operations by managing risks, addressing queries and minor modifications activitiesÂ
• Collaborates with Engineering team to identify and define engineering solutions to reduce risk and grow installed production capacity.Â
• Provide technical support, as necessary, to ROO Departments, namely; Brownfield and Greenfield Development Projects, Construction, Operations and Maintenance, on all aspects of electrical engineering.Â
• Lead, or participate in, conceptual, basic and detailed design activities.Â
• Provide assurance on engineering compliance with pertinent Standards, Specifications, Codes and Regulations  Ensure that non-conformities and temporary deviations are identified, risk assessed and plans are put in place to mitigate risks
• Provide input to ROO management of change process. Carry out Site Surveys, prepare of Basis of Design, Statement of Requirements, specifications, Data Sheets et cetera and associated deliverables for in-house and third-party engineeringÂ
• Review and approve as necessary, third-party engineering deliverables
• Produce material requisitions, technical bid evaluations, interface as necessary with vendors via Procurement DepartmentÂ
• Produce design and construction work pack deliverables. Contents to include; Scopes of Work, Design/Construction Drawings, Design calculations, MTOs, Task Hazard Assessments Â
• Provide support as necessary to activity planning and progress reporting
• Liaise and work closely with ROO Electrical Technical Authority for guidance as necessary
• HSE inputs to support ROO performance contract including safety audits, Isolation Audits, Safety Observations, Risk assessments etc. Â
• Provide input to budget planning and contract technical scope development.Â
• Provide technical input to ROO management of change process. Â
• Line manage a team of electrical engineers and electrical designers.
 Professional, preferably chartered, electrical engineer. qualified to degree level [or equivalent]. Â
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a Lead or Senior Electrical Engineer within Oil & Gas/Petrochemical Industries. Â
• Minimum of 5 years working in an international oil and gas operational organisation, in a brownfield ops support role
• Experience of lead engineering role in detailed engineering design, procurement, construction and commissioning of HV/LV power systems incorporating power generation, HV/LV switchgear, transformers, and distribution equipment. Â
• Experience of power system design software packages (ETAP). Â
• Candidate to demonstrate familiarity with all relevant industry codes, standards and practices (IEC)
• Strong coaching skills developed in multi-national projects with diverse nationalities and cultures.Â
