CPECC (China Petroleum Engineering & Construction Corporation)
Candidate shall report to the Small Projects Engineering Manager and will be an integral member of a multi-discipline Small Project Department.
Candidate’s responsibilities shall include:
· Conducting the project discipline engineering verification in accordance with the agreed delivery Plan and annual Schedule.
· Coordinating with the individuals involved in the verifications so that they know the objectives, scope, and schedule, of the verification activities.
· Consolidation of specific check sheets for the reviews to be conducted, and ensuring comments are returned as per agreed timescales.
· Document review findings utilising the Check sheet Templates, ensuring the correct code is allocated and comments are clear.
· Work with leadership personnel accountable and/or ROO accountable management to develop the corrective actions for findings and assist in the identification of due dates and action owners through to closure.
· Provide feedback to the project verification team leader on how the Assurance programme can be improved.
· Reporting on the status of corrective actions, used as input to the findings KPIs and performance management.
· Reviewers carry out the reviews on their peers’ work, including the work of their supervisors and subordinates as per the agreed protocols. They will not be directly involved in the verification of their own work.
· Provide technical support, as necessary, to Small Projects – Brownfield and Greenfield Development Projects, Construction & Commissioning.
· Lead, or participate in, conceptual, basic and detailed design activities within Small Projects Team
· Provide assurance on engineering compliance with pertinent Standards, Specifications, Codes and Regulations Ensure that non-conformities and temporary deviations are identified, risk assessed and plans are put in place to mitigate risks
· Provide input to ROO management of change process. For deliverables of in-house and third party engineering
Skills and Experience:
· Degree / diploma qualified engineer or equivalent work experience. BSc, BEng or MEng (UK), BSc (US), or international equivalent in Chemical / Process Engineering or other relevant engineering
· Professional accreditation, such as Professional Engineer or Chartered Engineer.
Essential experience
· Extensive and relevant industry experience. At least 18 years industry experience with 5 years in International multicultural environments with brownfield engineering and design support. Strong technical leadership with influencing capabilities and extensive technical understanding of process safety engineering principles. Proven ability in practical application of engineering standards and practices with people leadership and stakeholder management experience.

· Ability to identify correct priorities of maintenance and engineering support activities
· Ability to identify and assess safety hazards; seeing what others may not: speaking up, early recognition of risks, opportunities and solutions – in particular when working outside of familiar technologies, codes and standards.
